The One That Started it All

I designed the One collection in a moment of pure motion—one of those electric seasons of life where you’re chasing, building, becoming.

Back then, it was right after college. Everyone I knew was in pursuit—new jobs, new cities, new workouts, new love. We were still holding on to our youth, but we were sprinting into adulthood. The “girlboss” era was in full swing, Lean In had just dropped, and the air was thick with that call for women to lead, create, and own their power. I felt it in my bones. That was me then—but now, my ambition feels a little softer, steadier, more about presence than pace.

I’d walk through New York or LA and watch women glide through the day—laptop in one hand, iced coffee in the other, moving with purpose. Dressed for work but with a style all their own. Effortless. Expressive. Alive. That’s the energy I wanted in The One.

I wasn’t designing for someone who needed more. I was designing for someone who needed clarity. One piece she could count on—pull her together, make her feel grounded, without the effort. Jewelry that could keep up.

And while that was me then, it’s still me now—just in a different form. Now it’s preschool drop-offs, running a business, trying to fit in a workout, balancing ambition with presence, logistics with creativity. The pace has changed, but the juggle? Very real.

That’s why The One still matters to me. Because it’s never been about a trend or a season—it’s about meeting women exactly where they are. In motion. In power. In evolution.

It’s timeless. It’s personal. It’s the piece you wear not just because it looks good, but because it grounds you in who you are.

And no matter your age, your season, or your pace—there’s a certain kind of power in knowing what works for you. Sometimes, all you need is one.
